Death

Eternal rest for the eternally unrestful

A blessing let it be to him

I write these words without a whim

Of sadness, remorse, or even spite

What you did to me was far from right

For the first time in more than a year

I thought of you, and not from fear

I braved to type your name upon a screen

Knowing from here I’d not be seen

What do I find but karmic justice.

A thing in life that you stole from me

To steal no more because you bore

The scent of death until it tore

You from the world my life once unfurled

Your affect no longer born

Without you thoughts no longer worn.
