She Don’t

She don’t believe in addiction.
What is a chosen affliction?
It is still a decision,
It’s easily envisioned
No crystal ball-needed prediction.

To do something often
Will not soften
Your ability to behave.
To do it too much
You know if you do such,
And the option is yours to save.

So if you choose
A game to lose
You can always get away.
No, comfort it’s naught
But it can be fought,
For it’s all in the mind to sway.

Don’t disguise pain
And then choose to blame
It on a disease
Which it’s not.
So when you get caught
Give that a thought
You just needed a release.
